abt to Hold 2025 Fiscal Year Results Report Meeting for Four Grant Programs: Sharing Outcomes and Challenges in Civic Activities Related to Food, Agriculture, Energy, and East Asian Exchange

## Overview of the 2025 Fiscal Year Grant Results Report Meeting
Act Beyond Trust (abt) will host an online results report meeting for the 15 projects supported across four grant programs in the 2025 fiscal year (total grants: 11,700,450 yen). The event will be held via YouTube Live over two days, June 6th (Saturday) and 7th (Sunday), 2026.

Expanding the scope of previous meetings, this session covers four key programs: Neonicotinoid Pesticide Issues, Promotion of Organic School Lunches, Energy Shift, and East Asian Eco & Peace Shift. Civic groups and researchers will present the outcomes of their grant-funded research, policy advocacy, and public awareness campaigns.

### Background: Foundations for Civic Activity and Approaching Social Issues
May 22 is the International Day for Biological Diversity. Modern challenges such as climate change, biodiversity crises, food and agricultural sustainability, energy policies, and peace in East Asia are deeply interconnected. Guided by the vision of 'Beyond Ecology,' abt has provided long-term support for environmental conservation efforts that often cannot be measured by short-term results. This meeting aims to share these practices across society and broaden the potential for new collaborations that transcend corporate and individual boundaries.

### Event Program Details

#### June 6: Organic Shift Division
The session will cover projects on Organic School Lunch Promotion (6 projects) and Neonicotinoid Pesticide Issues (4 projects). Presentations will include collaborations with child cafeterias, studies on pesticide concentration in lakes, and research into pesticide usage in paddy fields.

#### June 7: Energy and East Asian Division
The session covers the Energy Shift Division (3 projects) and the East Asian Eco & Peace Shift Division (2 projects). Topics include investigations into overseas exports of low-level radioactive waste, local development utilizing renewable energy, policy proposals regarding nuclear fuel cycles, and youth exchange projects involving Black-faced Spoonbills.

### Role of Act Beyond Trust (abt)
As an independent private grant-making organization, abt has invested approximately 276 million yen into grassroots projects since its inception. Going beyond mere financial support, abt conducts project identification and hands-on operational support. In 2025, it was certified as a Public Interest Incorporated Association.
