Sakudaira Hirao Development Co., Ltd. (Saku City, Nagano Prefecture, President: Susumu Washio), which operates various facilities within Hiraoyama Park, including the urban resort "Sakudaira Highway Oasis ParadA," directly connected to the Saku-daira Smart IC on the Joshin-etsu Expressway, will grand open the "Rhinoceros Beetle Dome (Forest of Rhinoceros Beetles)," which is very popular every year, for the season starting July 11, 2026 (Sat), in conjunction with the full-scale launch of the summer program at the nature experience facility "Insect Experience Learning Center" operated by our company within the park. Additionally, a pre-opening event, allowing visitors to experience the dome early, will be held for two days only on July 4 (Sat) and 5 (Sun).

The "Rhinoceros Beetle Dome," the highlight of Hiraoyama's summer, will finally open, in addition to the resort's summer operations which have already begun. At the "Insect Experience Learning Center," equipped with air conditioning and heating, hands-on classes such as a permanent corner where visitors can directly interact with the world's largest "Hercules beetle" and a "Rhinoceros Beetle Larva Rearing Class" by experts will be held daily. With excellent accessibility, approximately 90 minutes by car from the Tokyo metropolitan area, and direct access via a giant escalator from the parking area, this cool highland resort will deliver the ultimate excavation and感動 (kandō - moving/impressive) experience this summer.
