Sound Director Miwa Iwamasa Special Screening at sola theater Announced!

To commemorate its 1st anniversary on Saturday, July 11th, Cinema Sunshine Misato (2F, Cinecon Building, Super Viva Home Misato, 1-1-200 Piaracity, Misato City, Saitama Prefecture) will hold a special screening event, "Sound Director Miwa Iwamasa Special Screening at sola theater," for one week only, starting Friday, July 17th.

Sound Director Miwa Iwamasa Special Screening & Talk Show Confirmed!

A special screening event featuring works supervised by Miwa Iwamasa, a sound director active in a wide range of fields from anime to dubbed foreign films, who pursues the ultimate in cinematic sound, has been decided!

From Friday, July 17th to Thursday, July 23rd, anime works that Miwa Iwamasa supervised as sound director will be screened at "sola theater," a premium sound theater he supervised.

Furthermore, a talk show with Sound Director Miwa Iwamasa is scheduled to be held on Saturday, July 18th.

sola theater

"sola theater" is a premium sound theater created in collaboration between sound director Miwa Iwamasa and Cinema Sunshine.

To achieve sound quality suitable for each screening, Mr. Iwamasa supervised the B-chain (*1) with meticulous attention to every sound. Dialogue from characters is made clearer, and dynamic soundscapes can be enjoyed with greater impact and immersion.

In addition to Cinema Sunshine Misato, it is also installed at Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro (Tokyo).

*1: B-chain refers to sound adjustment that allows audio to be reproduced in a state close to the creator's intent, regardless of which theater it is played in. It is adjusted to meet the SMPTE202M standard. Within ±3dB of the X-curve. (Quoted from Gee-BeeX Inc. website)
