[Mie Prefecture, Ise City] New Feature Added to Garbage Separation App "San-Aru"! Separation Diagnosis via Conversation and Photos

In response to requests from citizens such as "I don't know how to separate garbage" and "I can't find it by the name of the item I want to throw away when searching for separation methods," we have introduced a more understandable and user-friendly separation guide.

We have added a chatbot function and an image recognition function that determines the name of garbage from photos to the free app "San-Aru," which allows users to check garbage separation, disposal methods, and collection days on smartphones and tablets.

This will allow even those who are not good at typing to use it intuitively, further promoting garbage separation and improving citizen services.

★ What is "San-Aru"?

It is a free app with convenient features such as being able to check collection days in a calendar format by setting your area, a function to notify you of collection days with an alarm, information on garbage separation methods and disposal precautions, and announcements from the city.

You can download and use it on your smartphone or tablet. (Communication costs such as packet charges will be borne by the user.)

Seeking Participating Stores for the "Garbage Reduction Ring Project"!

The Ise City "Garbage Reduction Ring Project" is an initiative by Ise City to promote the "Appreciation of Food, Eat-It-All Support Stores," "Paper God of Toilets Project," "My Bottle Cooperation Stores," and "My Bottle Promotion Businesses," as well as other garbage reduction and recycling efforts implemented by businesses, under the umbrella of the "Garbage Reduction Ring Project." The aim is to promote business participation and foster momentum for garbage reduction in Ise City. We ask for your cooperation as corporate social responsibility, and we are recruiting new participating companies (organizations).
