In the cosmetics and beauty industry, significant man-hours are spent on checking advertising expressions for compliance with the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Act (Yakkiho) and the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (Keihyoho). In recent years, with the spread of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and Gemini, its utilization for this checking work has been attracting attention. However, concerns such as "I don't know how to use it" and "Is it okay to leave it to AI?" are also being heard.
Kyoto Yakkiho Advertising Lab Co., Ltd.'s Keiko Hashimoto will hold an online seminar, organized by the Beauty Yakkiho Master Association, to explain practical points of caution and utilization techniques for checking advertising expressions using generative AI. Following the seminar, there will be a briefing session on the "Beauty Yakkiho Master Association's" support services by Akiko Ide. We encourage all staff in charge of regulatory compliance challenges to participate.

Representative Director, Kyoto Yakkiho Advertising Lab Co., Ltd.
After 13 years of experience in sales, PR, and pharmaceutical affairs at a cosmetics manufacturer listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Prime, she became independent in May 2023. She is a consultant specializing in Yakkiho and Keihyoho advertising compliance for a wide range of product categories, including cosmetics, foods with functional claims, and OTC drugs. She serves as an advertising reviewer, employee trainer, and external advisor for numerous companies, from major manufacturers to small and medium-sized enterprises. She is also actively involved in research and dissemination, including overseeing advertising checks using generative AI.

The Beauty Yakkiho Master Association provides a supportive service that offers continuous support from experts to pharmaceutical affairs and advertising personnel engaged in Yakkiho and Keihyoho advertising compliance in the cosmetics and beauty industry.
