Kyoto Prefecture will hold a fisheries internship for those interested in fisheries to increase the number of fishery workers.

2. Overview

* Experience Content

Experience fixed-net fishing, which is a core fishery in the prefecture, and individual fishing (octopus pots, seaweed gathering), etc.

* Itinerary

August 3 (Mon) 2:30 PM Meet at Miyazu Station, Kyoto Tango Railway

August 4 (Tue) Fisheries experience in Maizuru City, Miyazu City, and Kyotango City

~7 (Fri)

August 7 (Fri) Noon Disband at JR Higashi-Maizuru Station

* Eligibility

Individuals interested in working in fisheries in Kyoto Prefecture (high school students and above, under 40 years old)

* Capacity

4 people

(In case of many applicants, selection will be based on factors such as applications to "Umi no Tami Gakusha (*)" and the possibility of employment in fisheries within the prefecture.)

(*) Umi no Tami Gakusha is a program jointly offered by Kyoto Prefecture, fishery organizations, and municipalities to foster human resources in the fishing industry.

* Fees

Participation fee: Free

Travel and accommodation expenses will be provided (with a limit).

However, payment will be made after the internship ends via bank transfer, so participants will initially bear the costs.

- We recommend preparing motion sickness medication as you may be on a boat from early in the morning on some days.
