[About BEYOND]
"BEYOND" is Japan's largest social entrepreneurship-focused social conference, launched in 2018 by taliki Inc. to support players in social issue resolution. Kyoto Research Park Co., Ltd. joined as a participant and collaborator from winter 2018. To date, nine editions have been held, attracting over 3,600 cumulative participants.
BEYOND is characterized as a space that fully supports those committed to solving social issues. It creates opportunities for professionals actively tackling challenges to share their insights and questions, fostering intersections of diverse knowledge, perspectives, and essential resources for business growth.
This is not a place where someone provides the answers. Instead, it brings together entrepreneurs, corporations, government, investors, NPOs, and students—transcending sectors and generations—to think and grow together, building connections beyond the roles of "supporter" and "supported." It is an open space of encounter and co-creation for all who wish to make society a little better.

● BEYOND2026 Concept
Peace resembles a carefully polished windowpane.
The more diligently it is polished, the more transparent it becomes—until we forget its very existence.
We remain unaware of how it shields us from cold winds and safeguards our daily lives.
Only when our seemingly stable everyday life begins to tremble beneath our feet, when society's functions halt and that glass shatters, do we finally realize
how fragile and precious the protection we've taken for granted truly is.
So, who has been tirelessly polishing this invisible window?
Behind the scenes of growth, purpose, and market-driven celebration,
there are those working in society's margins, covered in mud, preventing irrational divisions and isolation, holding up the glass of "normalcy." The prosperity we enjoy stands precariously on their relentless dedication and sacrifices.
Economic prosperity is built upon the absolute foundation of peace.
So, who bears the responsibility for peace?
BEYOND2026 will confront this question directly.
● Concept Background
Since its launch in 2018, BEYOND has served as a crossroads for players striving to solve social issues.
As recent global instability reminds us, the "economic growth" and "innovation" we so naturally pursue exist only on the stable foundation of "peace." Yet, the efforts of those maintaining this foundation—their risks and costs—are often rendered invisible within the logic of market economies.
At BEYOND2026, we will reframe "peace" not as an abstract concept, but as societal infrastructure. Starting from the voices of social entrepreneurs and others who have long polished this invisible window, we will spend two days learning and experiencing what it means to "protect peace" in today's world. Participants from diverse sectors—including social entrepreneurs, investors, corporations, government, NPOs, and students—will explore the resources and forms of solidarity needed for this mission.
※ This event is designed to address multiple targets under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a starting focus on Goal 16: Peace.
● About the BEYOND Executive Committee
Originally launched in 2018 by taliki Inc., this conference formed its first tripartite executive committee in 2025 with the City of Kyoto and Kyoto Research Park Co., Ltd. This year, the three organizations will continue their collaboration as the BEYOND Executive Committee, aiming to strengthen partnerships and impact in addressing social challenges from Kyoto.
Leveraging each organization's roles and strengths, the committee will build an ecosystem to ensure BEYOND2026 contributes meaningfully to solving social issues in Japan and beyond.
