Kyotamba Town (Mayor Genichi Hatanaka) announced today, May 1st, the new product "GREEN GREEN Mont Blanc" at Michi-no-eki Wa, developed through municipal cooperation with Ujitawara Town, a tea-producing region.
Acceptance as a Furusato Nozei return gift will begin on May 4th, Reiwa 8 (2026). Simultaneously, Michi-no-eki Wa will hold various events for visitors during the Golden Week period.

A product transcending "towns," connected by greenery.

At the new product launch event held today, Kyotamba Town Mayor and Ujitawara Town Mayor were present to unveil "GREEN GREEN Mont Blanc" for the first time.

This product is a new sweet based on the popular "Oju Mont Blanc" from Kyotamba Town's Michi-no-eki Wa, using matcha from Ujitawara Town. It was developed by combining the respective regional resources.

What is "GREEN GREEN KYOTAMBA"?

Kyotamba Town has positioned "GREEN GREEN KYOTAMBA" as the cornerstone of its town promotion, promoting regional resources such as nature, food, and people in an integrated manner.

This concept aims to expand a "community connected by shared aspirations" not only within the town but also with people outside Kyotamba who are involved with it. It is one of the town's important policies aiming to create 'relation population' and establish a regional brand.

Continuous promotion starting May 4th each year.

Kyotamba Town designates May 4th as a milestone and launches promotional initiatives annually from this day.

Previously:
- Reiwa 6 (2024): "GREEN GREEN MARKET"
- Reiwa 7 (2025): "GREEN GREEN Stamp Rally"
These initiatives aimed to create opportunities to experience regional resources and promote visits.

This year, building on these efforts, "GREEN GREEN Mont Blanc" will be rolled out as a new initiative to communicate the value of the region in the form of a "product."

Additionally, in conjunction with the National Urban Greenery Fair held this year, efforts to experience Kyotamba Town's "GREEN" will be expanded.

Joint return gift development through municipal cooperation.

"GREEN GREEN Mont Blanc" is an initiative where Kyotamba Town and Ujitawara Town collaborate to offer it as a common Furusato Nozei return gift.

Furusato Nozei has traditionally been seen as a "competition" where each municipality vies for attractiveness through return gifts. However, this initiative presents a form of "co-creation" where municipalities bring their respective resources together to jointly create and disseminate value.

By having multiple municipalities collaborate on a single product, the aim is to convey the region's charm in a more concrete and multi-dimensional way.

Acceptance for Furusato Nozei begins (May 4th).

"GREEN GREEN Mont Blanc" will begin accepting applications as a Furusato Nozei return gift from May 4th, Reiwa 8 (2026).

This product will be offered as a common return gift, available for application in both Kyotamba Town and Ujitawara Town.
