Kyushu Electric Power Co., Inc. (President & CEO: Masaru Nishiyama) and Kyuden Fudosan Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Norihito Oogami), in collaboration with Kyushu Rinsan Co., Inc. (President & CEO: Hiroyuki Eguchi), are promoting initiatives utilizing domestic FSC®-certified wood (*1) for "GROUNDI OHORI" (announced on November 12, 2025), the first property of the high-end residence brand "GROUNDI" currently being developed in Ohori 1-chome, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City.
Recently, this property acquired the "Project Certification" (*2) under the international forest certification system FSC® (dated February 12, 2026). It should be noted that this is the first case in Japan where domestic FSC®-certified wood is used as construction material for a condominium.
This initiative comprehensively realizes everything from the conservation of forest resources to their utilization in housing through the united efforts of three Kyuden Group companies, by utilizing FSC®-certified wood from Kyuden-owned forests that have acquired Forest Management Certification (*3) for "GROUNDI OHORI."
Toward the realization of the "Kyuden Group Management Vision 2035," which outlines "Challenge to Carbon Minus," "Evolution of Solutions Fulfilling Diverse Needs," and "Value Creation and Growth through Regional Co-creation," the Kyuden Group will continue to contribute to the creation of a sustainable and prosperous society through the appropriate utilization of forest resources and environment-friendly urban development.

Scheme for Utilizing FSC®-Certified Wood in "GROUNDI OHORI"
For "GROUNDI OHORI," the three Kyuden Group companies are collaborating to advance an initiative that consistently utilizes the forest resources they own and manage right through to the final application as construction materials.
A defining feature of this initiative is that the entire supply chain is structured starting from the forest resources owned by Kyushu Electric Power.
(1) Protecting the Forest [Kyushu Electric Power / Kyushu Rinsan]
Most of the company-owned forests held by Kyushu Electric Power (such as "Kuju Kyuden no Mori") have acquired Forest Management Certification (FM Certification). In this initiative, FSC®-certified wood logged by Kyushu Rinsan in these company-owned forests will be utilized as construction materials.
