[Features of Cool Shelter® Kai] (Utility Model Registration No. 3253897)

- EMW Heat Shield Sheet®* is applied to the ceiling and lower part of the walls to block external heat (blocking over 97% of radiant heat).
- Transparent vinyl curtains with special heat-shielding treatment are installed on the upper part of the walls to block external heat.
- A high-efficiency, energy-saving air conditioner is placed at the upper back, providing comfort not only in extreme heat but also in extreme cold.
- Noren-style, one-touch opening/closing entrance allows for smooth entry and exit.
- Assembled and can be installed anywhere, with casters for easy mobility.

[President Furukawa's Vision] "I want to reduce the number of people who die from heatstroke, even if it's just one person."

- In recent years, the number of heatstroke deaths has remained high due to intense heat.
- I believe that some lives could have been saved if a comfortable environment had been provided.
- We hope to contribute to society by popularizing "Cool Shelter® Kai" as a "social infrastructure that protects human lives from heat" and reducing the tragedy caused by heatstroke.

[Development Background] https://www.mhlw.go.jp/content/001476821.pdf

- On June 1, 2025, the Revised Industrial Safety and Health Act will be enforced, making heatstroke prevention measures in the workplace virtually mandatory.
- Most fatal accidents are due to neglecting initial symptoms and delayed response.
- The target is work expected to be performed for more than 1 continuous hour or 4 hours a day in environments with a heat index of 28 degrees Celsius or higher and temperatures of 31 degrees Celsius or higher. Violations may result in imprisonment for up to 6 months or a fine of up to 500,000 yen.
- In the event of heatstroke, the best first aid to prevent severe illness and save lives is to cool the body until an ambulance arrives. Cool Shelter® Kai is essential social infrastructure for this purpose.

[Applications]

Factory break rooms, areas around high-temperature environments in factories (drying ovens, electric furnaces, boilers, etc.) / Construction and civil engineering sites / Logistics centers, agriculture-related facilities / Immediate rest for heatstroke patients who collapse at sports days, outdoor events, sports competitions, golf courses, commercial facilities, etc. / Disaster evacuation sites.

[Future Development]

- We aim for annual sales of 100 units / 270 million yen in FY2026, and 200 units / 540 million yen in FY2027.
- We have already received concrete inquiries from leading domestic companies and overseas (Southeast Asia), and are considering expanding overseas in the near future.
- With "Cool Shelter® Kai," which embodies all of our heat-shielding technology, we will contribute to society by improving the working environment for small and medium-sized enterprises with limited financial resources and reducing the number of people who die from heatstroke, even if it's just one person.

[Trigger for Development]

- Although "heatstroke prevention measures in the workplace" have been strengthened by the Revised Industrial Safety and Health Act, many factories find it difficult to bear the cost of applying heat-shielding paint or sheets to the entire factory (over 5 million yen for a 1000㎡ factory).
- However, in some factories and warehouses, it may be sufficient if only workers in hot areas, such as near drying ovens, electric furnaces, or boiler rooms, can cool down.
- When President Furukawa was considering what to propose to such factories, a logistics warehouse suggested that instead of the entire warehouse, only the workers preparing for packing and shipping needed a cooling solution.
