Peng Shuanglang stated that in addition to display panel applications, Micro LED can become key for edge computing AI and play an important role in the optical communication industry, especially in AI data center transmission. In the future, 'optical in, copper out' (光進銅退), Micro LED will be used for short-distance transmission in Common Path Optics (CPO). AUO's investee, Powerchip, holds medium and long-distance optical transmission technology.
He pointed out that in the past two years since its transformation, the perspective on AUO has shifted from discussing panel component specifications to panel applications. Whether it's gaming display panels or the current hottest Micro LED, AUO creates infinite possibilities in display and non-display applications, from components to solutions, hoping to bring a completely different world to everyone.
He said that AUO is exhibiting many non-panel display technologies today, especially AI applications. In addition to product solutions, there are many edge computing AI applications, including CPO, optoelectronic integration, satellite antennas, and transparent and non-transparent display products.
Innolux Chairman Hung Chin-yang pointed out that while this year's exhibition uses displays as the main axis as in the past, its subsidiary CarUX, after merging with Pioneer, specifically presents the advantages of smart cockpits combined with audio systems. At the same time, the display exhibition uses a 'Magic Stage' to showcase various display technologies, interacting with visitors through the high reflectivity of micro-LEDs, no longer just static exhibition areas. Visitors can even try on clothes virtually through the display screens. (Editor: Yang Lan-hsuan) 1150408
