AFP reports that Russia and Ukraine regularly exchange the remains of fallen soldiers, which is one of the few areas where cooperation is still maintained.
Video uploaded by Russian state media Ruptly shows personnel in white coveralls and blue gloves moving white body bags from the back of one truck to another. Observers wearing uniforms with the Red Cross logo can also be seen in the video.
The Red Cross said last month that it currently helps both sides exchange about 1,000 bodies per month, but the identities of "tens of thousands" of dead remain unconfirmed.
Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 sparked Europe's bloodiest war since World War II, displacing millions of people and causing civilian casualties on both sides.
