A passenger, claiming to be returning home after disembarking, posted a video on the social media platform Threads showing a motorcycle parked at the arrival pick-up area of Terminal 1. The posting individual stated they did not know who the rider was but urged, 'Please don't disgrace the country's facade,' and called for compliance with current regulations.
Huang Yu-wei, Captain of the First Squadron of the Security Police Brigade of the Aviation Police Bureau, told reporters that after investigation, it was found that a man, on the night of March 23rd around 0:20 AM, rode a standard heavy motorcycle to a meeting point at 17 Hangxi Road, Terminal 1, Taoyuan International Airport, and temporarily stopped. The rider did not enter the terminal, stayed for 4 minutes, and left at approximately 0:24 AM without picking up any passengers.
Huang Yu-wei pointed out that due to the rider wearing a helmet, identification was impossible. Subsequently, in accordance with the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act, the individual will be issued a citation for not obeying traffic signs, lines, and signals, with a fine ranging from 900 to 1800 NTD.
