Kinmen Prosecutors Integrate Multi-Agency Resources, Deploy Early to Combat Bribery and Violence

The Kinmen District Prosecutors Office announced via press release today that it held a pre-election strategic meeting for the 2026 local public office elections. The meeting integrated resources from various agencies, including the District Prosecutors Office, Investigation Bureau, Police Bureau, Military Police, National Immigration Agency's specialized task force, Kinmen County Government's Anti-Corruption Department, Civil Affairs Department, and various township household registration offices, to establish horizontal liaison and vertical command cooperation mechanisms.

The Kinmen District Prosecutors Office pointed out that the meeting focused on the deployment strategies of various agencies for investigating bribery and various types of illicit activities, including money, travel, banquets, airfare subsidies, violence, underground gambling, phantom voters, fake news, and intervention by hostile foreign forces in elections. The aim is to pool collective wisdom and efforts, strengthen information sharing and horizontal liaison and cooperation mechanisms among agencies, and enhance overall investigation effectiveness.

Chief Prosecutor Chao Yen-li of the Kinmen District Prosecutors Office stated that the Kinmen District Prosecutors Office will coordinate anti-bribery agencies such as the prosecution, police, investigation, anti-corruption, and immigration agencies to establish a cross-agency information integration mechanism. It will also plan subsequent investigation meetings to continuously review investigation strategies, ensure the admissibility of evidence, and implement timely investigation and disposition.

Chao Yen-li stated that anti-bribery awareness campaigns will be immediately planned to build social consensus and strengthen public identification with anti-bribery efforts.
