He once again urged Cheng Li-wun to state publicly: "Taiwan is an independent country, and Taiwan and China are not subordinate to each other." This sentence should be clearly conveyed to Xi Jinping by her. Hsu emphasized that the most important thing is not to let the Taiwanese people think that Cheng Li-wun went to China while blocking arms purchases and the general budget in the Legislative Yuan.
