Hsinchu County Government today issued a press release stating that it has launched the 'Love's Home Medical Coverage' subsidy program. Individuals who adopt dogs and cats from the Hsinchu County Animal Protection Education Park will receive subsidies of up to NT$3,000, on a reimbursement basis, hoping to reduce the financial burden on citizens and increase adoption willingness.

Yang Wenke said that the subsidy items include pet insurance premiums, health check-up fees (registration fees, blood tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, parasite tests, etc.), and pet medical expenses (vaccinations, medications, surgeries, hospitalization, etc.).

He stated that individuals who complete dog or cat adoptions at the Hsinchu County Animal Protection Education Park between April 1st and November 30th are eligible to apply. Applicants can mail relevant documents to the Hsinchu County Animal Protection and Disease Control Office, and subsidies will be issued after review and approval.

Yang Wenke pointed out that the Hsinchu County Government continues to create a friendly environment for animals and, through adoption medical subsidy measures, enhances the health and well-being of animals, while also promoting harmonious coexistence between humans and animals and friendliness towards stray dogs and cats.
