Jimmy Lai was sentenced to 20 years in prison in February after being convicted of conspiracy to collude with foreign forces and conspiracy to publish seditious publications. He has decided not to appeal.

The Hong Kong government recently applied to the court, pursuant to the "Hong Kong National Security Law" and its "Implementation Rules," to confiscate property related to Jimmy Lai's crimes, in order to achieve the "important purpose of preventing and stopping acts and activities that endanger national security."

According to reports from local media, court documents show that the case will be heard in the High Court on July 8th, requiring 60 minutes. (Editor: Chan Kai-yu) 1150408
