Fengyuan 5-Person Family Commits Suicide After Being Defrauded; Mother's Will Hopes Son-in-Law Stays Strong for Reunion in Next Life

Ms. Li, who ran group purchases and incurred debt, defrauded a family of five in Fengyuan District, Taichung, of over NT$15.36 million, ultimately leading to the suicide of all five members. After investigation, the Taichung District Prosecutor's Office indicted Ms. Li on charges of fraud and other offenses, requesting the court to impose a severe sentence of over 15 years, hoping that the sentencing will correct values.

The Taichung District Court held a hearing today to conclude the debate, and the case will be ruled on May 20th. Among them, the message from the mother of the Wang family to her son-in-law was also exposed, asking him to face bravely, live strong, 'Thank you for calling me Mom,' and to reunite in the next life, bravely and strongly.

Mr. Wang, the son-in-law, told the media that it has been some time since the incident, and he is grateful for the public's concern. He stated that they will abide by the judge's decision and thanked everyone.

Mr. Xie Zhizhong, a DPP councilor for Taichung City, had received complaints from the Wang family seeking assistance before the incident. He stated that this is a vast criminal structure, and the judiciary should investigate thoroughly without overlooking any detail.
