Bai She Tou Mazu Pilgrimage to Depart on the 12th, DPP Sets Up 'Xiang Deng Jiao' Support Stations

DPP spokesperson Wu Zheng announced at a press conference following a Central Executive Committee meeting that the party will set up 'Xiang Deng Jiao' support stations for the 2026 Bai She Tou Mazu pilgrimage.

Wu Zheng relayed President Lai Ching-te's remarks at the committee meeting, stating that the Bai She Tou Mazu pilgrimage to Beigang this year will depart late at night on April 12th. He requested that party offices and elected officials along the route provide suitable locations and set up supply points to allow participants to rest.

Lai Ching-te emphasized the importance of this grand event for praying for Taiwan's peace, prosperity, and good weather, and wished everyone in Taiwan an enduring life of democracy and freedom.

Wu Zheng stated that the DPP has identified locations in counties such as Miaoli, Taichung, Changhua, and Yunlin where party officials will support the Bai She Tou Mazu pilgrimage with aid stations. These include county councilor Chen Pin-an, legislators He Xin Chun and Cai Qi Chang from Taichung, legislator Chen Su Yue from Changhua, and legislator Liu Jian Guo from Yunlin. The DPP will continue to organize and release the resting times and addresses for the pilgrims. This information will be published online.

Wu Zheng explained that the DPP headquarters, including the New Immigrant Department and Youth Department, along with many party officials, have responded by registering for the pilgrimage. The party is producing 'Mazu Bless You with Peace' hand signs for supporters to cheer on pilgrims along the way, and will later produce armbands, streamers, and other small items for collective support.
