South Korea: North Korea building carbon fiber ICBM capable of carrying multiple warheads

Reuters reported that North Korea conducted a ground test of a solid-fuel rocket engine in March this year, which analysts believe was developed for its latest intercontinental ballistic missile.

South Korean lawmakers stated that the thrust of North Korea's new rocket engine may be greater than that of a previous model tested in 2024, which was estimated at the time to be capable of striking anywhere on the US mainland.

South Korean lawmaker Park Sun-won told reporters after attending a closed-door briefing by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) that when North Korean media reported on the new engine test, they displayed a missile body made of carbon fiber.
