U.S. Congressman Zach Nunn Promotes Pro-Taiwan Initiatives, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Awards Friendship Medal

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a press release that Political Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Chen Ming-chi, on behalf of Minister Lin Chia-lung, presented the "Friendship Medal of Diplomacy" to U.S. Representative Zach Nunn, Chairman of the Republican Study Committee's National Security Task Force, on the 8th, and hosted a banquet for the visiting delegation. Nunn also presented the "Iowa Medal of Merit," which represents outstanding contributions to public service and promoting people's well-being, to highlight the close and friendly partnership between Taiwan and the United States. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomed Nunn's delegation and thanked the bipartisan U.S. Senate and House members for their recent consecutive visits to Taiwan, demonstrating firm cross-party support for Taiwan's security and deepening Taiwan-U.S. relations.
