The Taiwan stock market rose by 1531.56 points today, marking the second-largest single-day gain in history, closing at 34761.38 points with a turnover of NT$856.26 billion.

The three major institutional investor groups combined for a net purchase of NT$157.925 billion. Proprietary traders bought NT$35.868 billion, investment trusts bought NT$4.284 billion, and foreign and mainland Chinese investors bought NT$117.773 billion.

Notably, foreign investors bought for the second consecutive trading day, with a single-day purchase of NT$117.7 billion, the second-largest amount in history, surpassed only by NT$125.288 billion on December 28, 2005. Investment trusts bought for the sixth consecutive trading day, and proprietary traders bought for the second consecutive trading day.

According to public information, among the top 10 stocks bought by foreign investors today, Innolux led, with foreign investors buying over 131,000 shares. Yuanta Taiwan 50 (0050) ranked second, with foreign investors buying over 96,000 shares. Following were AUO, actively managed Yuanta Taiwan Stock Growth (00981A), actively managed Fuhwa Future 50 (00991A), KGI Financial, actively managed Yuanta AI New Economy (00990A), Cathay Sustainable High Dividend (00878), Quanta Computer, and Yuanta Taiwan Select High Dividend (00919).

Among the top 10 stocks sold, Walsin Lihwa ranked first, with foreign investors selling over 20,000 shares. ProMOS Technologies and Yang Ming Marine Transport ranked second and third, with sales of approximately 10,000 shares and 8,500 shares, respectively. Others included actively managed Yuanta S&P Oil (00642U), Taiwan Cement, Formosa Petrochemical, Yuanta ESG Investment Grade Bond 0-5 (00985B), Lotte Chemical, Yongguang, and Nan Ya PCB.
