Chuo Computer Service Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Nakashibetsu-cho, Hokkaido, Representative Director and President: Tatsuya Tokoro, hereinafter "CCS") will hold a preview screening of the documentary for the regional revitalization and human resource development program "Michishiroka" at HOTnet Co-creation Space Akallabo in Sapporo on Friday, June 12, 2026.

This event will feature the first public showing of a documentary recording "Michishiroka in Hokkaido Nakashibetsu-cho," which was held in Nakashibetsu-cho, Hokkaido, in the summer of 2025.

After the screening, CCS, which operates Michishiroka, Hokkaido Nakashibetsu-cho, the host region, and students who actually participated will take the stage to discuss "how to engage with regions" from their respective standpoints. It will be a 90-minute session to think about how local governments, businesses, and students can collaborate, and how to balance regional revitalization and human resource development, through film and dialogue.

We sincerely look forward to the participation of local governments, universities, and companies interested in this initiative.

Regional revitalization is no longer just about "attracting people," but about re-examining "how to engage with regions."
A "computer" company takes on regional revitalization and human resource development.

Since its establishment in Nakashibetsu-cho, Hokkaido, in 1981, we at CCS have upheld the philosophy of being "a reliable regional IT partner for our customers" and have earnestly addressed various issues together with the local community.

We are convinced that creating a society where "everyone can realize the meaning of their work and purpose of life without being overlooked, and fully unleash their talents" is what leads to the vitality of the region, not just simply attracting people.

"Michishiroka" is the place where this vision is materialized and new value is created.

Since the summer of 2022, it has been repeatedly held in Makari-mura, Otofuke-cho, Nakashibetsu-cho, and Sarabetsu-mura, leading to the rediscovery of regional charm through external perspectives for the regions, and providing opportunities for students to think about their lives and ways of working.

This summer, it is scheduled to be held in Sarabetsu-mura.

Filming of "Michishiroka" held in Hokkaido Nakashibetsu-cho

In the summer of 2025, the 6th installment of "Michishiroka" was held in Hokkaido Nakashibetsu-cho.

The theme was "What we can do, precisely because it's Nakashibetsu-cho."

Participating students did not follow pre-determined answers but actively pursued fieldwork by asking their own questions from the people, work, and lives they encountered in Nakashibetsu-cho.

This documentary records what the students felt in the region, what questions they found, and how they engaged with the region.

At this preview screening, we will not only watch the documentary as a finished work but also provide time for dialogue to think about how to engage with regions with the participants, using the film as a catalyst.

What we want to think about together at this preview screening

At this preview screening, after the documentary screening, we will consider the following questions from the perspectives of students, local governments, and the secretariat:

How is the charm of a region found and expanded?

What questions do young people's perspectives bring to the region?

How can local governments, businesses, and students collaborate?

How can regional revitalization and human resource development be balanced?

There is no single correct answer to how to engage with regions. That is why, after watching the film, we want to create a time for participants to bring their feelings and questions from their respective standpoints.

This is a 90-minute session of film and dialogue for those interested in regional revitalization and human resource development, and those who want to think about how local governments, businesses, and students can collaborate regionally.
