Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) has received its first "Gold" rating in the 2026 sustainability assessment conducted by EcoVadis, an international rating agency based in France.
The assessment comprehensively evaluates sustainability efforts across four critical areas: "Environment," "Labor & Human Rights," "Ethics," and "Sustainable Procurement." The MHI Group received high marks in all these categories, placing it within the top 5% of assessed companies worldwide.
EcoVadis provides sustainability assessment data through a single, integrated platform built on common standards, covering over 175,000 companies across more than 180 countries and 230 industries. Many global corporations utilize this data as a criterion for selecting their business partners.
Our group is further strengthening its sustainability management system, which considers environmental, social, and economic sustainability demanded by all stakeholders, and is centered on the challenges and values of contemporary society. This "Gold" rating is a result of these initiatives being highly recognized internationally, further solidifying our presence as a sustainable corporation in the global market.
