English Teachers' "Fiji Summer Vacation 'English Education' Training" - Experiencing English Education as a Second Language

As part of ELEC's 70th-anniversary project, we will be holding the "Fiji Summer Vacation 'English Education' Training" for English teachers. In addition to English language learning, this training provides a valuable opportunity for "English experience," including visits to local high schools and mock lesson experiences, visits to special needs schools, interaction with local teachers and Japanese international students, and homestay experiences.
We offer an opportunity to experience the frontline of English education.
The Republic of Fiji, well-known as a rugby powerhouse, has English as its second language (official language) due to its history as a former British colony. With relatively low travel costs, it has recently attracted attention as a destination for high school and university students studying abroad. SOUTH PACIFIC FREE BIRD Co., Ltd., the operating company, runs two English schools in Fiji and has hosted over 30,000 international students over 20 years. They also jointly operate national high schools with the Fijian government.
This training will include observing classes for local students at these schools and, with the cooperation of local teachers, participating in mock lesson experiences (optional). Participants will also observe classes for Japanese international students and share insights into the challenges they face in English language learning through interaction. Additionally, the program includes visits to special needs schools, homestays, and various cross-cultural experiences (cooking experience, traditional village visits, market tours).

Fee (tax included): 270,500 JPY
*Domestic travel expenses in Japan, weekday lunch expenses, overseas insurance, and international airfare are not included.
*International airfare from Narita starts from 156,000 JPY (including taxes).
*Prices may vary due to exchange rate fluctuations.
