While glamorous dresses often steal the spotlight in beauty pageants, the "heels" that support the stage are rarely discussed.

However, in reality, competitions take place in demanding environments that standard pumps cannot handle, including walking審査 (walking evaluations) lasting several hours, stage performances, and lengthy rehearsals.

To address these challenges, the Japan Miss Contest Association planned and developed the specialized beauty pageant heels, 'KAGURA,' based on feedback from former national representatives, finalists, walking instructors, and directors across the country.

KAGURA Heels

Currently, they are worn in many competitions such as Miss Universe Japan, Miss Planet Japan, Miss University, Best of Miss, and Mrs. contests nationwide, growing into a brand used by over 70% of contestants in major national beauty pageants.

Why KAGURA is Chosen

KAGURA is not just a fashion item.

During development, emphasis was placed on:

- Center of gravity design that facilitates beautiful posture - A fit that prevents fatigue even when worn for long periods - Stability during walking - Heel balance that makes legs look most beautiful - A luxurious design that shines on stage

The concept was "heels for winning."

Through repeated refinements reflecting feedback from former national representatives and finalists, the heels have been perfected for competition.

Heels Created by a Man Who Has Watched Miss Contests for Over 20 Years

Produced by Hiroki Uchida, Representative of the Japan Miss Contest Association.

With over 20 years of experience managing national beauty pageants and observing thousands of contestants, he states,

"While the dresses have changed, the challenges with footwear have remained the same for 20 years."

Falls, blisters, poor posture, deductions due to walking style.

Many of these issues stemmed from heels being designed for fashion rather than competition.

This is precisely why the decision was made to establish the category of "specialized beauty pageant heels" for the first time in Japan.

Towards a New Culture of "Heels for Winning"

KAGURA is now supported not only in Japan but also by national representatives challenging in international competitions.

The association's future goal is to evolve beyond "KAGURA if you participate in a beauty pageant" to become

"The standard heel for women competing in the world,"

and further development is underway.

Comment from Hiroki Uchida

"We don't just want to sell heels.

We want to create an environment where women challenging the world can stand on stage with confidence.

As a result, many contestants have chosen KAGURA.

Changing your footwear changes your posture.

Changing your posture changes your life.

We want to continue creating heels that do just that."
