Bringing Study Abroad and International Exchange Experiences (IntEx) to All Children

HelloWorld, a general incorporated association, aims to create a world where all children can experience international exchange regardless of their economic background. They operate "Machinaka Ryugaku," a homestay program in Japan, and established the "Machinaka Ryugaku Fund" to provide free IntEx to low-income families. They are also expanding their initiatives through collaborations like the "Know The World - Awich Global Education Project."

We endorse April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day for sharing dreams. This press release is the dream of HelloWorld, a general incorporated association.

A society where having a friend in each country around the world is commonplace.

A state where people all over the world connect through IntEx (※).

And where children all over the world are peacefully connected,

Their eyes shining brightly towards the realization of a better world.

We will realize such a world.

※"IntEx" (Intex) is a general term for International Exchange / International Experience. It refers to a concept that comprehensively encompasses activities where people engage in international exchange for the purpose of multicultural understanding, regardless of whether it's real or online. "IntEx" is a registered trademark of HelloWorld Co., Ltd., our partner.

Our Study Abroad Experience: "Machinaka Ryugaku" (Town Study Abroad)

Together with HelloWorld Co., Ltd., our partner, and other cooperating companies, we deliver "Machinaka Ryugaku," which is operated by HelloWorld Co., Ltd. "Machinaka Ryugaku" is a homestay experience in the homes of foreigners living in Japan. To date, it has provided IntEx (intercultural exchange and international exchange experiences) to over 15,100 people with host families from over 80 countries in Kanto and Okinawa.

Compared to traditional overseas study abroad, this IntEx program has less financial and time burden, making it easier for many people to participate. However, for many families, the costs associated with participation and travel to the program location are a burden. Therefore, we set the goal of "delivering study abroad experiences to all children" regardless of economic circumstances or academic performance, and established the "Machinaka Ryugaku Fund" in 2021, providing IntEx free of charge to low-income households.

Furthermore, since 2024, we have been expanding our reach by implementing "Know The World - Awich Global Education Project - (Atlanta Study Abroad & Machinaka Ryugaku)" by Awich, the queen of Japan's HIPHOP scene from Okinawa.

Moving forward, we aim to realize our dream of "delivering high-quality IntEx to all children, regardless of their economic situation." By doing so, we will contribute to the realization of a society without division, where people recognize and respect diverse cultures and backgrounds.
