One Smile Foundation Signs Joint Research Agreement with Tamagawa University Faculty of Education on 'Relationship Between Positive Behavior and Safety in Educational Settings'

One Smile Foundation (HQ: Kanagawa Prefecture; Representative Director: Saki Tsuji) has signed a joint research agreement with the Tamagawa University Faculty of Education titled "Research on the Relationship Between Positive Behavior and Safety in Educational Settings." This joint research will verify the connection between the volume of positive behaviors, such as the smiles of teachers and children, and the safety of educational institutions.

■ Background and Purpose of the Research
In school education, ensuring the well-being of both teachers and children, as well as maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, has become an increasingly critical theme. However, the relationship between 'positive behaviors' and 'safety' in educational settings has not been fully clarified.
In this joint research, working with Associate Professor Tetsushi Yamada of the Tamagawa University Faculty of Education, the team will attempt to grasp and visualize states associated with the well-being of teachers and children through an educational engineering approach using behavioral detection technology. The goal is to connect these findings to discussions regarding school safety.

■ Outline of Research
This joint research combines insights from educational engineering with the One Smile Foundation's behavioral detection technology to collect and analyze data on the volume of behavior among teachers and children. Additionally, the team will examine the relationship and influence of these findings alongside information gathered through qualitative surveys regarding perceptions of school safety.
