SEKISUI Challengers, Amagasaki City, and Amagasaki Post Office Hold Joint Press Conference

The SEKISUI Challengers, an American football team belonging to the X-League (headquartered in Amagasaki City, Hyogo Prefecture), held a joint press conference with Amagasaki City and Amagasaki Post Office at Amagasaki City Hall on April 30, 2026.

During the press conference, the team reported on the opening of the new "X League Premier" season, which will kick off in the 2026 season, and expressed their determination to "aim for Japan's best, carrying Amagasaki on their backs."

In addition, Amagasaki Post Office announced an initiative to display SEKISUI Challengers support stickers on approximately 300 vehicles, including delivery bikes, across 57 post offices within the city.

As "Amagasaki's Team" Fighting with the Community

The SEKISUI Challengers signed a comprehensive partnership agreement with Amagasaki City in 2020 and have continued various community contribution activities, including sports promotion, regional revitalization, and youth development.

This joint press conference was held to coincide with the inauguration of the new "X League Premier," serving as a symbolic initiative where the community, local government, and businesses unite to support the team.

Attendees at the press conference included SEKISUI Challengers representatives, Amagasaki Mayor Makoto Matsumoto, and Amagasaki Post Office representatives.

Mayor Matsumoto offered words of encouragement, praying for the team's success in the new league as a sports team representing Amagasaki, along with statements focused on regional revitalization, expressing his desire to support the Challengers with the local residents and further energize Amagasaki.

Support Stickers to be Displayed on Approximately 300 Post Office Delivery Vehicles

Amagasaki Post Office announced that SEKISUI Challengers support stickers would be displayed on approximately 300 vehicles, including motorcycles and delivery vehicles, at 57 post offices within the city until March 31, 2028.

The stickers, measuring 11.5 cm high and 30 cm wide, feature the message "Let’s go‼ SEKISUI CHALLENGERS" along with
- Japan Post's character "Posukuma"
- SEKISUI Challengers' official character "Challengers Dog"
- Amagasaki City's city promotion character "Amakko"
in a special design.

Amagasaki Post Office commented, "As a local post office rooted in the community, we want to continue revitalizing the region in collaboration with Amagasaki City and the SEKISUI Challengers."

Players Also Perform Sticker Application

After the press conference, SEKISUI Challengers players Abe (#81) and Sato (#4) performed a live demonstration of applying the support stickers to post office vehicles.

The event, observed by many media representatives and stakeholders, underscored the launch of a new, community-wide support project.

Announcement of X League Premier Opening Game

The SEKISUI Challengers will participate in the newly established "X League Premier," the highest domestic American football league, starting from the 2026 season.
