CDO Club Japan believes 2026 will be the turning point where the evolution of AI agents starts a major shift toward a transformed workforce. We consider it crucial to effectively link two perspectives: the individual view of 'how to understand and change oneself as a business person' and the executive strategy view of 'how to capture these changes early and expand them into organizational activities.'
At the CAIO / CDO Summit Tokyo 2026 Summer, CDOs and CAIOs from major Japanese companies will gather to discuss two themes:
1. How shall we live in the AI era?
- The future of individual work styles: Changes and evolution of the workforce.
To avoid missing the two transformations in work styles caused by the accelerated spread of AI:
Liberation: Return to 'Humanity' from white-collar 'Tasks.' Much of the knowledge work that has bound white-collar workers—such as creating documents or coordination—will become delegable to AI agents. Using AI will become a prerequisite; the question will be how to turn the newly freed time into rich experiences and creative dialogue.
