The Japan Association for Techno-Economics (JATES) was established in 1966 with the aim of contributing to the development of industry, the improvement of national life, and the realization of a safe and secure society. Its philosophy is to contribute to strengthening Japan's international competitiveness through cross-industry exchanges and research activities related to technology, management, and economics. In addition to collaborating with industry, government, and academia and making recommendations as needed, JATES also promotes exchanges with related organizations in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
