Grand Prize and Special Prizes for 'AEBS Award 2026' Decided!

The Advanced Electronic Publishing and Distribution Consortium (Location: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Chairman: Tomoya Irukayama, Abbreviation: AEBS) has held the 9th 'AEBS Award 2026'.

About the AEBS Award

This award has been held since 2018 with the aim of contributing to the revitalization and development of the entire publishing market by recognizing outstanding products, services, content, achievements, and research of companies and organizations regarding the production and distribution of the publishing sector, including electronic formats. This time, as the 9th edition, we will present the AEBS Award Grand Prize and the AEBS Award Special Prizes.

In this year's selection, a selection committee composed of academic experts and knowledgeable individuals related to electronic publishing chose one Grand Prize and two Special Prizes from a large number of recommended candidates, including self-nominations and third-party recommendations.

Calil Inc., through its library search service 'Calil,' has dramatically transformed readers' 'encounters with books' by integrating ubiquitous bibliographic and collection information with advanced technology. The free provision of the 'Calil School Library Support Program' and the development of the 'Bookstore Inventory Information Project' have established a platform connecting libraries, bookstores, and readers. Its tremendous achievement as a social infrastructure promoting the utilization of publishing content makes it deeply worthy of the Grand Prize.

'JapanKnowledge' is Japan's largest knowledge base that highly digitized vast publishing assets such as dictionaries, encyclopedias, and historical materials, enabling cross-searching. It built a platform to integrate and distribute high-quality content in collaboration with multiple publishers. It has made access to highly reliable information easy for everyone from academic and educational institutions to individuals. Its achievements in establishing standards for digital production and distribution, and balancing the preservation of publishing culture with business development, are highly evaluated.

■ Yurindo Official YouTube Channel 'Yurindo's Unknown World' / Yurindo Co., Ltd.

[Reason for Selection]
The YouTube channel 'Yurindo's Unknown World,' originating from a bookstore, has over 500,000 subscribers. It practices unique fan building and garners much support through content originating from the 'passion' for books, stationery, and miscellaneous goods held by bookstore staff and publishers.
Through merchandise development and store-linked measures centered on the program's MC, R.B. Buccoroo, it has led viewers to actions such as visiting stores and participating in experiences.
Expanding beyond digital transmission to store experiences and IP utilization, it has achieved results in branding, digital communication, and content business creation.
