Recruitment Begins for 'Yomiken': Check Your Current Health Level!

MUIC Kansai (operated by the Kansai Innovation Center) and Integrated Health Science (IHS), a startup originating from Kobe University, have partnered with the Yomiuri Shimbun Osaka Headquarters to launch 'Yomiken,' a large-scale demonstration project. The project aims to realize the social implementation of 'Health Function®,' which analyzes Personal Health Records (PHR) such as vital data and cognitive ability to visualize an individual's health status.

## Project to Evaluate Health Using Brain Fitness and Autonomic Nervous Data
Japan's current medical checkup system is primarily based on infrequent, annual measurements (point-in-time), failing to capture subtle daily life changes or encourage behavior modification. Conventional indicators have also focused heavily on physical metrics, underutilizing elements like cognitive fitness and autonomic nervous activity. This project aims to integrate these data points, using 'Health Function®' to manage personal health as a continuous 'line' and establishing a model that encourages early awareness of pre-symptomatic health conditions.

## Three Key Points of the Project
- Latest 'Brain Fitness' Test at Home: Free access to CogEvo RD, an evidence-based brain fitness test used in hospitals and research institutions. This new self-care habit allows participants to check brain fitness trends in a game-like format.
- Large-scale Demonstration of 3,000 Participants Including Seniors: Partnering with Yomiuri Shimbun, Japan's largest newspaper by circulation, to recruit 3,000 monitors across all age groups. The project specifically conducts parallel in-person measurement support for the 70s and 80s demographic, whose health data is medically vital but often lacking, to build a highly accurate, multi-generational health prediction model.
- Social Implementation Platform as an Expo Legacy: Following the trial, the project plans to provide corporate health management support, elderly care prevention programs, and API offerings to various industries, aiming to deliver sustainable healthcare business solutions as a legacy of the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
