Hakuba Village's lift operators, Goryu Co., Ltd., Hakuba 47 Co., Ltd., White Resort Hakuba Sanosaka Co., Ltd., Iwatake Resort Co., Ltd., Happo-one Kaihatsu Co., Ltd., and Hakuba Kanko Kaihatsu Co., Ltd., conducted slope cleanup activities after the winter season. This activity, which had previously been co-hosted by the Hakuba Village Tourism Bureau and local lift operators, was organized this time primarily by the lift operators in collaboration with local businesses.

This initiative is an annual effort aimed at collecting trash and fallen objects left on the slopes and surrounding areas during the season, with the goal of preserving the natural environment and maintaining safe fields.

On the day of the event, approximately 500 participants, centered around ski resort staff, including customers, local residents, and businesses operating outdoor brand stores in the village, took part. Walking across vast slopes, parking lots, and nearby areas, they collected empty cans, plastic bottles, vinyl fragments, and broken equipment that emerged after the snowmelt, preparing the environment for the green season.

Hakuba area is not only a snow resort in winter but also an international mountain resort that welcomes many visitors for mountaineering, trekking, alpine botanical gardens, MTB, and other outdoor activities from spring to autumn. Maintaining a beautiful natural environment throughout the four seasons is a crucial initiative directly linked to enhancing the value of regional tourism.

The transition from the Hakuba Village Tourism Bureau to operator-led management has allowed each ski resort to leverage its unique characteristics and appeal, while also deepening relationships by fostering environmental conservation activities together with customers. Moving forward, Hakuba Village's lift operators and related businesses will continue to promote sustainable tourism development and provide comfortable and attractive fields for guests visiting from both Japan and abroad.
