Island-wide Grand Festival Okinawa International Cultural Festival 2026 Successfully Concludes! Approximately 100,000 Visitors in 2 Days, Okinawa's Entertainment Festival to the World Further Evolves

The "Island-wide Grand Festival Okinawa International Cultural Festival 2026," organized by the Okinawa International Cultural Festival Executive Committee (Chairman: Hiroshi Osaki / Vice Chairman: Shigenobu Asato), was held on April 25th (Saturday) and 26th (Sunday), 2026, primarily around Naha City's Kokusai Dori. This year, the festival recorded a cumulative total of approximately 100,000 visitors over two days, surpassing last year's attendance of 45,000 and demonstrating significant success in both cultural promotion and tourism revitalization. This year saw a substantial expansion of new content to further enliven the festival, in addition to the invited screenings of highly acclaimed works such as "Treasure Island," which won 8 Academy Awards, and "Tree-top Army." A diverse program of 14 items was rolled out to great success, including a luxurious talk show featuring Yuichi Nakamaru and voice actress Yoshino Nanjo, collaborative projects with "Koneko Film," which has overwhelming support on social media, and kid creator Moran-chan, as well as an experience tour of the popular theme park "Junglia." These two days not only presented a new form of cultural festival that transcends film, music, and art, where prefectural residents and tourists can enjoy together, but also proved the inherent power of Okinawa's entertainment to the world.

**■ Cultural Festival 2026 Content Implementation Report**

This year, we developed a wide range of programs centered around the following 14 contents, enjoyable across generations and borders. By collaborating with local businesses, organizations, and various municipalities, we showcased the unique cultural and entertainment charm of Okinawa. While promoting tourist attraction and regional revitalization, the festival became an event where prefectural residents and domestic and international tourists could enjoy as one.

**【1】 Red Carpet**

At the red carpet, a main content of the event, Kokusai Dori was engulfed in a whirlwind of excitement. This year, a continuous stream of glamorous guests representing the current entertainment scene appeared, including Fumito Kawai, Junretsu, Shogen, Yuichi Nakamaru, Yoshino Nanjo, Ruka Matsuda, Moran, as well as aoen, O-MENZ, CANDY TUNE, SAKURADOLL, CIRRA, SWEET STEADY, JUICY=JUICY, and WILD BLUE. Amidst the dazzling sight of close interaction with the audience, thunderous cheers erupted from the roadside, creating a joyful vortex on Kokusai Dori in spring.

**【3】 Okinawa 41 Municipalities PR Short Video Contest**

A PR video contest was held with the aim of promoting the charm of Okinawa's 41 municipalities to both domestic and international audiences through videos, thereby attracting visitors to each municipality. It became a platform for rediscovering the profound, lesser-known charms of Okinawa and inspiring audiences to "want to visit that place," full of new possibilities for attracting tourists.

**【4】 Moran's Craft Workshop**

We held a workshop to create original "Punipuni Dolls" with influencer Moran-chan. Many children participated, and the venue was filled with smiles and warmth throughout.

**【5】 Music Festival GIRLS GROOVE INNOVATION**

A festival where artists transcending genres gathered, utilizing Okinawa's beautiful locations. In collaboration with local Okinawan artists.
