Four 'Cinema Award' Winning Films Chosen by Cinema Staff Nationwide to be Re-screened in Japan

The 'Cinema Award' aims to let audiences rediscover the wonder of watching movies in theaters by re-screening works voted for by nationwide cinema staff as 'movies we want more people to see in theaters, chosen exactly because we work there.' The commemorative awards ceremony and special discussion for this project, which aims to promote cinema attendance and further revitalize film culture, were held recently and garnered significant attention.

To commemorate the awards, it has been decided that the four films that took first place will be re-screened in theaters nationwide. Detailed information has been announced.

The four films set for re-screening, each placing first in their respective categories, are 'Kokuhou', 'Wicked', 'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Infinity Castle: Chapter 1 - Akaza's Return', and 'Sinners'. Cinema staff who voted shared moving comments: for 'Kokuhou', 'A beautiful work where three hours passed in a flash' and 'I immediately picked up the original novel and read it after watching'; and for 'Wicked', 'A truly immersive musical film where a colorful worldview and overwhelming vocals envelop the theater.' 'Demon Slayer' received strong praise as 'A work where you can experience visual beauty and powerful music that must be seen in a theater,' while 'Sinners' generated passionate feedback such as 'The movie in 2025 that made me most frustrated, thinking I wanted more customers to see it.'
Audiences are encouraged to enjoy that emotion and excitement once again on the big screen with dynamic sound.
