Road to Nagoya: Padel National Team Event! Japan Padel Association and Simplex Host Networking Event

The Japan Padel Association (Location: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Antonio Koji Nakatsuka; hereafter JPA) will co-host the experiential networking event 'Simplex Presents PADEL CONNECT DAY 2026' on Saturday, June 27, 2026, together with Simplex Holdings, Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and CEO: Hideki Kaneko; hereafter Simplex Holdings), which serves as a diamond sponsor for the 2026 Japan national team, marking its fifth year of sponsorship.

■ Padel gaining attention as an official sport of the Asian Games
Padel has been adopted as an official sport for the 20th Asian Games (Aichi-Nagoya) to be held in September 2026, and its popularity is rapidly growing in Japan.
The Japan national team players competing in the tournament will be decided on May 30 and 31, 2026, and these national team players are scheduled to participate in this event.
The Japanese women's team, in particular, won a gold medal at last year's Asian Games, positioning padel as a promising sport expected to secure medals at this upcoming tournament as well.

■ A new networking model originating from sports
This event aims to create new networking opportunities connecting students, companies, and the community, with padel as the starting point.
It aims to provide catalysts for human resource exchange and career development through sports, while striving for further popularization and value creation for padel.

■ Planned Event Contents
● Appearance of National Team Players
Japan padel national team players will participate. The content is designed to be enjoyable for everyone from beginners to experienced players, allowing attendees to experience the appeal of padel while playing alongside top athletes.

● Mixed Networking Bringing Together Students, Companies, and Players
National team players, students, corporate representatives, and padel enthusiasts will form pairs at random and enjoy games while interacting. It is a networking event that generates new connections transcending athletic levels and professional positions.

● 'One Point Slam' for Spectator Enjoyment
A special '1-point match' tournament, a format that also gained attention at the Australian Open tennis tournament, is scheduled to be held. It is spectator-oriented entertainment content where attendees can enjoy the tension and excitement unique to short, decisive battles. Prizes will be prepared for the winners.

● Talk Session by the National Team
National team players will share their authentic voices regarding their challenge for the Asian Games, their feelings as national representatives, and the future of padel in Japan.
