This year marks the fifth period of collaboration between the Padel Association and the Simplex Group. We felt a conviction akin to "Commitment"*, one of the "5DNA" action guidelines set forth by the Simplex Group, in the achievement of Padel becoming an official event at the Asian Games, which has been a long-standing goal. We believe that this year's activities will continue to be a full-fledged effort with an indomitable spirit to overcome any difficulties, and Simplex Holdings is pleased to support a part of these activities.

Comment from Padel Japan National Team Coach
Takashi Tominaka (Affiliated with Simplex Group)

As an employee and as a coach of the Japan National Team, I feel very encouraged that the Simplex Group will continue to support the Padel Japan National Team as a diamond sponsor this fiscal year.

Having achieved official event status for the Asian Games, this year, with the games to be held in Nagoya, will be an extremely important one for the Japanese Padel community. Both men's and women's teams will challenge themselves as one unit, aiming to be No. 1 in Asia.

Furthermore, we intend to transform this partnership into a tangible force, not only improving competitive strength but also contributing to the sustainable growth of the entire Japanese Padel community through the promotion of Padel.

■ About Padel

Padel is a racket sport born in the 1970s, combining elements of tennis and squash.

As of 2025, Padel has spread to over 150 countries worldwide, with approximately 77,000 courts and a player population exceeding 35 million. Particularly in Spain, it has become a national sport with more players than football, achieving rapid growth mainly in Europe.

In recent years, the market has also been expanding in the Middle East, Indonesia, and other Asian countries, attracting global attention as a new sport enjoyed by a wide range of generations.

One of its features is that it is a racket sport played only by two pairs on a court smaller than a tennis court, enclosed on four sides by tempered glass and wire mesh. The scoring and game progression are the same as tennis, but its appeal lies in its dynamic yet strategic brain-play that utilizes wall bounces. Also, due to its small court and easy-to-handle rackets, it can be enjoyed by sports beginners, children, and the elderly alike, regardless of skill level. If physical prowess is not an issue, three generations of a family can enjoy playing against each other.

Currently in Japan, there are 28 facilities (57 courts), a playing population of 60,000, and approximately 1,600 registered players.
