■ Overview

Noriko Tsutsumida, formerly Noriko Sase (60), representative of the general incorporated association Sansuimou, will hold her first-ever life recital at the Sapporo Grand Hotel's 'Old Saloon' on her 60th birthday, Sunday, July 19, 2026.

■ Story

At 17, she participated in the 'Star Tanjo!' audition, sharing the stage with the likes of Hideaki Tokunaga and Akiko Matsumoto. She later won a special judges' award at the Horipro Talent Scout Caravan. There were offers for a film role from director Nobuhiko Obayashi and interest from multiple talent agencies.

However, she never opened that door herself. There was fear. There was also a desire to be the protagonist of her own life, not moved by others. She couldn't fully accept the result of the special judges' award. At 17, I just couldn't take that step.

Forty years have passed. I've watched from the sidelines of a normal life as the peers who stood on the same stage shone brightly. While getting married, standing in the kitchen, and taking care of my family, I sometimes remembered myself back then. I can't say there were no regrets.

But at 58, I resolved to take back control of my life and established the general incorporated association Sansuimou. The time has finally come, 40 years later, to unearth the small seed I had buried deep within the earth at 17.

A girl who once served as an assistant on STV Radio's flagship program 'Goro Hidaka Show' and later worked as a personality on STV Radio, touching the broadcasting culture of Hokkaido, will now take a new step on her own stage, with her own will and on her own feet.
