Japan's First 'Amateur League' for Street Dance Launched! Japan Amateur Street Dance League Established to Oversee High School, University, and Adult National Championships. Lotte Becomes Title Sponsor for University Championships!

The Japan Amateur Street Dance League (JASDL) has been established to oversee national championships for high school, university, and adult categories. Alongside this, the 'All Japan High School Street Dance Federation' and 'All Japan Adult Street Dance Federation' have been newly created as sister organizations. Furthermore, Lotte Holdings Co., Ltd. and Lotte Co., Ltd. have been appointed as title sponsors for the 'All Japan University Street Dance Championship' and 'Miss College Dancer,' which have an 11-year operational track record. The Japan Amateur Street Dance League is the collective name for the three tournaments: the 'All Japan High School Street Dance Championship,' the 'All Japan University Street Dance Championship,' and the 'All Japan Adult Street Dance Championship.' By holding national championships in each category, the league aims to build a unified framework for amateur competition in Japanese street dance. The All Japan High School Street Dance Federation plans to hold its first national championship in fiscal year 2027. The tournament's biggest feature is that eligibility is limited to 'street dance genres only.' The All Japan University Street Dance Federation will continue to operate the university championship and Miss College Dancer under its established policy. The All Japan Adult Street Dance Federation plans to hold the '0th All Japan Adult Street Dance Championship' as a test run in January 2027. Under its group vision 'Lifetime Value Creator,' Lotte Holdings is globally promoting entry into and strengthening of its live entertainment and content IP businesses. Since street dance holds extremely high potential in both 'live entertainment' and 'next-generation content IP,' which the company values, it believes that supporting its development leads to the realization of its vision. The league aims for official sports recognition in the future through affiliation with a central sports governing body. The long-term vision is to establish a sports-based academic and career path where high school students can enter universities via sports recommendations, compete in national championships, and continue competing as corporate team members after entering the workforce.
