Driven by the promotion of DX, examinees from a wide range of industries and job types are taking the certification.
HCD-Ken® is a certification examination system aimed at understanding the philosophy and basic knowledge of Human Centered Design (HCD) and acquiring the "basic knowledge and mindset (HCD Basic Knowledge System*)" that serves as a common language with HCD professionals.
In recent years, the scope of HCD has expanded to Human Centered Society (HCS), and its application in diverse problem-solving, including participation in management and business consulting, is accelerating. In response to these trends in the industry, this certification is conducted with the aim of delivering the core "basic knowledge and mindset (way of thinking) of HCD" to as many generalists across all industries as possible.
Furthermore, this certification complies with the DSS (Digital Skill Standard), which is a guideline for DX promotion skills by METI and IPA, and is positioned as one of the important qualifications for DX promotion.
The "cumulative 10,000 examinees" milestone reflects the increasing recognition of the importance of the HCD mindset and basic knowledge in the industry. Our organization will continue to promote the expansion of the HCD talent base and accelerate organizational implementation through the dissemination of the HCD Basic Certification.

Established in 2020 by the HCD Professional Certification Center of the NPO Human Centered Design Organization (HCD-Net), which compiled the basic knowledge system for HCD professional qualifications.
