■ Message from Venture Café Tokyo Executive Director: Ryusuke Komura

"I want to liven up the event from a global perspective by leveraging the experience and track record I have cultivated."
Currently, attention towards deep tech and deep tech startups is higher than ever. On the other hand, what is truly important is not treating deep tech as a passing trend, but implementing it into society as an industry on a global scale. I expect that bringing startups, companies, investors, researchers, and government administrations from all over the world to Osaka through GSE will lead to a major leap in "social implementation."

Venture Café, a global community, has organized and operated large-scale international events such as the Global Gathering in the past. We intend to feed the domestic and international human networks built there back into GSE, while providing a global perspective that makes people from all over the world want to come to Japan and Osaka, thereby enlivening the event.

Actually, I am from Osaka. I have been involved in producing over 600 events in Japan so far. In addition, I have accumulated knowledge through involvement in SCPN (Startup City Promotion Network: a network where Japanese cities collaborate to strengthen startup support) and operating ecosystem programs in various regions. Leveraging these experiences, I want to contribute to the further development of this international deep tech event originating from Osaka.
