Drone Service Quality (DSQ) Certification and Drone Platform 'XROSS' Collaborate

The Drone Service Promotion Council (DSPA) (Location: Minami-Aoyama, Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Shinji Suzuki), which works to improve the quality of drone services, and NeoMars Co., Ltd. (Location: Tonomachi, Oita City, Oita Prefecture; Representative Director: Takehiko Kai), which operates the drone platform 'XROSS', announce the start of a collaboration regarding the Drone Service Quality Certification (hereinafter 'DSQ Certification').

This collaboration was announced at the 'Japan Drone 2026' exhibition, which began on June 3, 2026.

Furthermore, a signing ceremony was held by both parties on the open stage at the Japan Drone 2026 venue during the exhibition. The ceremony included the exchange of the agreement, a commemorative photo session with related parties, and an overview of the collaboration's details, directly conveying the purpose and benefits of this partnership to the attendees.

■ Background of the Collaboration

As the social implementation of drone services progresses, the difficulty for clients to objectively judge the quality of services has become a challenge.

The DSQ Certification operated by DSPA is a system that evaluates and visualizes the quality of drone services from a third-party perspective, based on 'Quality of drone services – Process requirements for drone service providers (JIS Y1011)'.

While many organizations support the DSQ Certification initiative, there has been a challenge that information obtained after certification is not being fully utilized in the market.

■ Overview of the Collaboration

Through this collaboration, information such as the status of DSQ certification acquisition and the scope of certification will be viewable and referenceable on the drone platform 'XROSS', alongside provider profiles and service information.

XROSS is a platform that promotes the use of drones to solve regional issues, in collaboration with local governments in Oita, Gifu, Fukushima, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, and Nagano prefectures. (https://droneplatform.jp/)

Since last year, it has also been expanding as a nationwide drone platform, and the cumulative number of drone-related service providers across Japan has now exceeded 1,200.

As a visual representation, a 'DSQ Certification' badge (indicating acquisition status) will be displayed on provider profiles, and by showing the services offered, key points such as the certified services (scope of certification) can be confirmed. Furthermore, a 'DSQ Certified Provider' badge will also be displayed on provider and service list screens, making it easier for clients to find providers that meet their requirements.

Additionally, when searching for services, DSQ certified providers will be displayed higher in search results, making them more visible to clients and expected to improve project matching. These functions will integrate DSQ certification into practical decision-making, further enhancing its value as a third-party certification.

This will allow clients to more objectively compare and judge quality when selecting drone service providers, using a common indicator based on JIS third-party certification, in addition to track records and self-declarations. As a result, this will lead to a reduction in procurement uncertainty and the selection of reliable providers.

This initiative aims to connect the certification system with the market, evolving DSQ certification from 'getting certified and done' to a system 'routinely used as a basis for being chosen'. It aims to create an environment where high-quality drone services are properly evaluated and selected, further enhancing the reliability and social value of the certification.
