## Concept: "Smiles and Reconstruction"
Noto, welcoming its third spring since the earthquake.
We went to Noto in February this year and saw a slightly different scenery from last year.

Truthfully, we might not be able to say we "saw" it with our eyes because we didn't.
But, we could see a strong conviction there.

We could also see the warmth of people helping each other.

People from Tohoku, who experienced the earthquake in 2011, entered Noto and were helping with the reconstruction, calling it "pay it forward."

The support was overflowing with love.

There were many smiles there.
Both the voices and the air were smiling.

## Background of the Event: Connections between People Seen in a Journey in the Dark
Dialogue in the Dark has previously held experiences themed around Noto, and "Spring Trip to Noto" is the fourth such project.

In previous experiences, we introduced the charm of the region, such as Noto's traditional culture and climate. Now, three years after the disaster, we have refocused on the human connections behind it.
In Noto, there is also a movement where people from Tohoku, who experienced the Great East Japan Earthquake, are involved in reconstruction support as "paying it forward."

People who were once supported now become the ones to support.
We learned that such connections between people quietly support the reconstruction.

Dialogue in the Dark is an experience of meeting people using senses other than sight in complete darkness. The darkness is guided by visually impaired attending staff. In an environment different from everyday life, participants become both the ones helping and the ones being helped, progressing as their positions naturally switch.

In this project, participants will experience a journey to Noto on a train in the dark. While coming into contact with people's lives and the traditional culture "Gojinjo Daiko" passed down in Nafune-machi, Wajima City, Ishikawa Prefecture, we will feel the connections between people. Through the program, time is also created to reflect on the concept of "pay it forward."

Receiving people's thoughts and passing those thoughts on to someone else.
Just like the relationships between people born in the dark, we hope that such thoughts will spread into everyday life.
