Furthermore, the "Hitosuzumi Ondo," a heatstroke prevention awareness activity that the Heatstroke Prevention Call-to-Action Project will start this year as part of its awareness activities, allowing people to learn by dancing and singing, will be unveiled for the first time. We hope you will join us in dancing and singing "Hitosuzumi Ondo" to learn about heatstroke prevention. In the future, the audio source for "Hitosuzumi Ondo" will be provided free of charge to local governments, companies, and private organizations to promote awareness activities.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency's 3-month forecast (announced on April 21, 2026), temperatures for the next three months from May to July this year are expected to be high nationwide due to the ease with which warm air covers the region. With the theme "Prepare for a Hot Summer!", this symposium will work to reduce the number of heatstroke victims by learning the latest heatstroke prevention measures through public-private collaboration.

■What is the Heatstroke Prevention Call-to-Action Project?

The Heatstroke Prevention Call-to-Action Project is a public-private initiative involving local governments, government agencies, companies, and private organizations nationwide, aimed at preventing heatstroke. Launched in 2011, this year marks its 16th anniversary.

If everyone calls out to each other, heatstroke can be prevented. We aim to achieve zero deaths from heatstroke through the power of communication, by "calling out." The project, centered around an executive committee of experts such as doctors and university professors, conducts nationwide awareness activities in collaboration with supporting members from companies, local governments, and private organizations.
