The Ethical Association was established as a legal entity on November 11, 2015, following the success of the Fair Trade Concierge Course (now the Ethical Concierge Course) held annually since 2010 by representative Rika Sueyoshi, which strengthened the network of participants. At the time of its founding, no other organization in Japan used the term 'ethical' in its name, and the association has since led the ethical movement and trends in Japan as a pioneering entity.
