High School Students from Across Japan Gather in Tokyo: The 'TOKYO Cross-Border CAMP' Inquiry Program Launches to Open Up Futures Through 'Passion'

General Incorporated Association Willdoor and NPO Leapfor will hold the 'TOKYO Cross-Border CAMP' (4th Term Cross-Border Club Activities) for high school students nationwide starting in August 2026. TOKYO Cross-Border CAMP is an inquiry-based program where high school students gather in Tokyo for a 3-day camp. Following this, as 4th-term members, they engage in approximately 3 months of online activities to deepen their interests while meeting peers from across Japan and practitioners active in their respective fields.

For this 4th term, a record number of 9 unique specialized clubs will be opened. Through diverse themes such as AI, Social Entrepreneurship, Policy, Energy, Sports Science, Community Design, International Culture, and Africa, the program supports each high school student's challenge to connect their 'passion' to society.

Cross-border club activities started in 2024 as a 'new form of club activity' that expands students' potential by crossing school and regional boundaries to meet peers and diverse adults from across the country.

Features of TOKYO Cross-Border CAMP 4th Term:

1. 'Cross-Border Camp' where high school students meet in Tokyo
The program kicks off with a 3-day camp in Tokyo. Students meeting for the first time from across the country share their interests and values through dialogue and workshops.

2. 9 Clubs to Learn with Practitioners on the Frontline
Clubs include Community Design, Sports Science, Energy, AI Idea Development, School Reform, Policy Proposal, Social Entrepreneurship, World Culture/Language, and Africa. Each club is accompanied by 'Senpai Advisors'—practitioners like researchers, entrepreneurs, and international cooperation experts.

3. Practical Program that doesn't just end with 'Interest'
Students emphasize thinking, acting, and challenging themselves through field work, interviews with experts, project proposals, and tackling social issues.
