General Incorporated Association Yasaigo (Representative Director: Mari Yamada, hereinafter 'Yasaigo') and Rippu Kitchen, a children's cafeteria operated by Certified NPO Living in Peace (located at 4-22 Eiwacho, Yamatokoriyama City, Nara Prefecture, inside 'Eiwacho Base'), will co-host a collaboration event on Saturday, June 20, 2026.
Yasaigo operates the mobile children's cafeteria 'Yasaigo-go,' traveling across Japan to deliver nutritious, vegetable-rich meals to children. In this collaboration, alongside Rippu Kitchen's main meals, Yasaigo will provide free mini salads as side dishes and unveil trial samples of its new snack product, 'Yasaigo Chips,' currently under development. By combining a locally rooted support hub with a mobile, agile food service, the event aims to enrich children's dining experiences.

'Yasaigo Chips' Trial Sample Launch and Free Distribution

This product aims to make vegetable nutrition easy and enjoyable to consume. Feedback from children's firsthand tasting will be used to refine the product for future commercialization.
Background and Purpose of the Collaboration
Since 2018, Rippu Kitchen has been based in Yamatokoriyama City, Nara Prefecture, providing a warm, free meal space for all children and fostering local community building. It collaborates with various individuals and groups addressing local child-related challenges, offering children diverse experiences and a comfortable place to belong.
Meanwhile, Yasaigo aims to reach underserved areas across Japan through its mobile children's cafeteria, 'Yasaigo-go,' bridging gaps in food support. According to a Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare survey, children's vegetable intake is significantly below recommended levels. Yasaigo is actively working to make vegetables more accessible and appealing to children.
This collaboration brings together two different models—fixed-site and mobile children's cafeterias—to create synergistic support by leveraging each organization's strengths.
Additionally, 'Yasaigo Chips' is being developed as a product designed to 'trigger a love for vegetables' among children. The organizers hope this tasting opportunity will not only improve the product's quality but also spark children's interest in food and healthy eating.
Rippu Kitchen's usual menu, such as curry and gyudon, does not typically include large amounts of vegetables, so the event will be held at a relocated venue to accommodate the addition of vegetable-focused offerings.
