Maison Valentino to Release 'Specula Mundi' Haute Couture Book by Mark Borthwick

Maison Valentino is pleased to announce the release of the book 'Specula Mundi' by Mark Borthwick. This new book is a work that visually reinterprets the haute couture collection of the same name by Creative Director Alessandro Michele through a narrative lens.

Conceived as a collector's item and produced in a limited, serialized edition of 1500 copies, 'Specula Mundi' transcends the runway stage to capture and further expand the story and world of the show. Woven through the lens of renowned photographer Mark Borthwick, this project paints a poetic and intimate visual story, elevating a unique moment into a work of curated cultural value as a lasting embodiment of the show's essence.

As a couture house born in Rome and established in Paris, Valentino continues to explore and celebrate new storytelling possibilities through its collections and books, connecting craftsmanship, culture, and a contemporary vision.

The book, housed in special packaging, will be available in select Valentino stores worldwide from the first week of May, and is scheduled for release in Japan at Valentino Ginza and Valentino Omotesando from Friday, May 15th.
