Building on its colorful heritage, Piaget unveils the final chapter of its high jewelry trilogy celebrating the art of Extraleganza. The "Colour of Extraleganza," composed of 65 exceptional pieces, invites viewers into a sensory world where color becomes material, form, and language. Gold serves as the foundation, harmonizing the sparkle of diamonds and sapphires, the brilliance of emeralds and rubies, the sky-like hues of opals, and the iridescent shimmer of tiger's eye and mother-of-pearl. This vibrant collection radiates joy, playfulness, and vitality, showcasing masterful craftsmanship.

Following the "Essence of Extraleganza" collection launched in 2024 to mark the Maison’s 150th anniversary, and the 2025 release of "Shape of Extraleganza," the "Colour of Extraleganza" draws inspiration from the creatively and culturally dynamic 1960s and 1970s, bringing the grand high jewelry trilogy to a magnificent conclusion. In 1957, Piaget opened the door to the world of color with the development of the legendary ultra-thin 9P movement. Its slim profile allowed for the use of colorful gemstones on watch dials. "Color is an essential element of Piaget’s history and tradition," explains Stéphanie Sivrière, Piaget’s Artistic Director. "With Colour of Extraleganza, we are exploring new frontiers in color, perfectly resonating with Piaget’s aesthetic values of luxury and elegance." The 65 pieces, crafted in the Maison’s Ateliers de l’Extraordinaire, demonstrate Piaget’s mastery in combining complementary and contrasting colors to achieve delicate nuances.

A Distinctive Piaget Approach to Color

Piaget does not treat color merely as an accent, but explores all its dimensions, elevating color itself into a material by skillfully harnessing diverse textures.

"In this collection, we focused not only on the gemstones themselves, but on the power of their colors—their presence, energy, and unique characteristics when combined with other stones. For example, the pairing of black opal with green highlights and ultramarine sapphire, or sapphire with mother-of-pearl, allows their respective pink tones to enhance one another," says Stéphanie Sivrière.

Likewise, gold is treated as a color in its own right, having been an essential component of Piaget’s creative palette for over half a century. By combining the hues of gemstones with the tones of gold, Piaget enriches its aesthetic expression. The result is a radiant, sunlit style. Color not only plays with the emotions it evokes but also gives rhythm to the swinging motion of a sautoir, and sculpts light into modern, elegant rings and earrings. In this way, color has become a hallmark of Piaget’s identity.

Piaget’s Vision of Color

The standout piece of the collection is the "Blue Illusion" necklace. This original masterpiece, crafted over approximately 900 hours in Piaget’s workshops, contrasts an 8.52-carat cushion-cut sapphire from Madagascar with a 3.30-carat paraiba tourmaline in lagune green, both dramatically heightened by the fiery iridescence of a unique 13.98-carat black opal displaying vivid blue and green flashes. These three gems are surrounded by countless sapphires and numerous hand-cut baguette tourmalines, set with pavé diamonds. Their geometric arrangement creates a dazzling visual effect around the neckline. This unique jewelry set also includes two rings (one featuring a near 5-carat smooth sapphire from Sri Lanka) and two pairs of earrings.

Another iconic model is the famous sautoir necklace, first introduced by Piaget in 1969 as part of the legendary "Collection of the 21st Century," which continues to be celebrated today. The "Flamboyant Link," included in this collection, features pink gold links delicately inlaid with speckled tiger’s eye. This combination of gold links and ornamental stones marks a rare endeavor for the Maison, the first since the 1970s. This transformable jewel, set with a 4.13-carat spessartite garnet, can be worn as a choker or a bracelet watch. The joints are engraved in gold and set with carefully selected tiger’s eye displaying vivid patterns—an exceptional piece showcasing Piaget’s outstanding craftsmanship. Following the same concept, Piaget created a captivating ring featuring a dazzling 6.42-carat cushion-cut spessartite garnet at its center, and earrings adorned with two magnificent 3.21–3.30-carat fancy-colored spessartite garnets.

The four-piece "Gold Swirl" collection draws inspiration from the curvilinear elegance of the 1970s, reimagined with a contemporary twist. The striking cuff bracelet showcases the Maison’s exceptional goldsmithing skills. Pink gold, diamonds, and baguette-cut blue-green tourmalines are intricately arranged, lending volume and texture to this impressive piece. For the first time in a high jewelry set, Piaget incorporates pink gold with godron—fluted detailing symbolic of watchmaking. The necklace features cabochon-cut orange fire opal and indicolite tourmaline, culminating in a central dial paved with diamonds.

Paying tribute to Memphis, the 1980s design collective that made color its manifesto, Piaget presents this vibrant set of five pieces. It contrasts the orange tones of mandarin garnet and aventurine with the pink hues of sapphire, tsavorite, and gold. The long necklace, accented with white opal, features gold links adorned with Deco Palace motifs and includes a striking removable pendant watch. The asymmetric pendant displays an 8.30-carat mandarin garnet and a 3.54-carat pink sapphire on an orange aventurine dial. Piaget’s gemstone expertise is also evident in the sculpted ring, where pure, translucent opal, sweet pink tsavorite, and mandarin aventurine plates surround an 8.53-carat radiant garnet. Piaget’s signature high jewelry brilliance is further enhanced by dazzling, shimmering colors.

On June 16, 2026, under the Mediterranean sun in Menton—one of the French Riviera’s most refined towns, where lemon-scented breezes blend with Belle Époque elegance—Piaget will host the exhibition of its high jewelry collection "Colour of Extraleganza." About Piaget

Piaget’s unique allure lies in its bold style. Since its founding in 1874, the Maison’s creative spirit has been embodied in exquisite watches and jewelry. This passion for daring creativity originated in La Côte-aux-Fées, in the Swiss Jura Mountains. In 1874, the Maison’s founder, Georges-Édouard Piaget, established his first workshop in a family farmhouse in this village, beginning the production of high-precision movements. From then on, Piaget gained widespread recognition as a master watchmaker. Embracing a pioneering spirit, Piaget ventured into the design and manufacture of ultra-thin movements in the late 1950s. This movement, which became the cornerstone of the iconic Altiplano collection, established Piaget as a legend in watchmaking. At the same time, Piaget has always emphasized creativity and artistic value, continuing a legacy of fusing gold with vibrant colors, innovative shapes, precious gemstones, and ornamental stone dials. Under exceptional craftsmanship, the Maison continues to create remarkable pieces such as the Altiplano, Piaget Polo, Limelight Gala, Sixty, Possession, Piaget Sunlight, Piaget Rose, and Extremely Piaget collections.
